Trip to Brooklyn, NY for Renegade Craft Fair + our favorite finds!

From Richmond, VA to Brooklyn, NY for the Renegade Craft Fair: It was a whirlwind trip but we had the best time, as always! New York, you never lets us down...

The highlights:

- Our new Fringe Pillow Collection was a huge hit! (Thanks, folks!) We were very excited about debuting those pillows at the fair. I just loved how everyone's eyes lit up as we discussed our process for making them. You guys were really digging the details of our most intricate collections! It's certainly a labor of love when that much time goes into each pillow.

- We specialize in customization, but we don't often get to work with our clients in person. It was such a treat to work one-on-one with our new and returning fans on custom orders! (The swatches were a big hit too!)

- We brought new business cards with us for the show and they each have a different image on the back. We love how everyone stopped to take a look through them to choose the one that best suited their style. (Mission accomplished!)

- Renegade shoppers: Don't forget to use code RENEGADE2015 at checkout to receive free shipping on NY deliveries. (Offer valid until 9/30/2015.)

All work and no play… Well, of course we had a do a little shopping of our own!

Road trip to Brooklyn for our first show at Renegade Craft Fair

This was the very first craft show I've ever done and I was a nervous wreck prepping for the event. Let alone trying to determine how much product to bring and what colors and how many business cards, etc; I had to figure out a plan to display my pillows. And… whatever I came up with had to fit into my CRV. Using all of those interior design and model making skills, here's a basic sketch of what I came up with:
The horizontal shelves pull out from the vertical planes and breakdown to: 5'4" x 12" x 9"
Process shot of pillow stacks in the making.
Viola! Here we are all set up.
We had such an amazing time visiting Brooklyn, meeting fans of our work and working with our clients in person. The event was a huge success for us! And… thanks to airbnb, this is the incredible view we woke up to every morning!
Thanks NY! Until next time...
